If you've read the July/August issue of Sew Beautiful, you already know – we have purchased the ever-popular, out-of-print "Frannie" and "Frannie's Big Sister" patterns by Lyn Weeks, and we have reprinted these dresses as the newest addition to our Sew Beautiful Pattern Collection! In celebration of their arrival in our warehouse, we are offering a pattern giveaway to our readers. Two lucky entrants will receive copies of both patterns.
All you have to do to enter is reply below with your name and email address. We'd love to hear what you plan to do with your new pattern. Have you ever made a Frannie dress from Lyn Weeks's original pattern? Tell us about it!
Entries will close Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Winners will be selected at random and announced both here and by email, so make sure you include your address. Good luck and thanks for your support of SB!

With 5 granddaughters (as of this coming Fri. anyway - granddaughter no. 5 is to be born!!!!) I can certainly use these patterns. I love to sew for my grands, yes, the boy, too, but I don't think his parents would go for these dresses, so I'll keep them for the girls!!!!

I made this dress several years ago for my now 13yo daughter but somehow lost the pattern. I'm not sure if I loaned it out or gave it to someone. Now that I'm sewing for my 3yo very girly niece (who LOVES dresses), it would be great to have the pattern again.

I was very fortunate to have been asked to make the Frannie toddler dress as shown in Sew Beautiful #123 (see photos at www.facebook.com/tigerswallowtales). I returned the pattern to my customer and planned to purchase my own copy, when I found out, to my great dismay, that it was discontinued. I'm delighted that you are offering it again and hope to add it to my sewing room library very soon.

I am going to use this dress to continue filling my grandmother's hope chest. My girls are far too big for heirloom sewing, and will soon be having babies of their own.
My best friend's grandaughter is my "Fairy godchild" and calls me her Fairy Godmother. I will make this for her and for her older and younger little cousins, all under the age of 5. I love sewing for them now that my own grandchildren are in high school! I have some lovely Aunt Grace's fabric that will make up beautifully into these little gems!

I love the patterns by Lyn Weeks. I made Frannie Baby for my daughter's oldest who is now 9. She now has three little girls 9, 5, & 1. I would love to make sister outfits using these patterns. My grandaughters run to the door when I come removing their clothes so they can put on Nana's latest creations! I love to encourage them to sew! Sew Beautiful is and has always been one of my favorite magazines. I watch Martha's sewing room every week and I especially enjoy her letter in the front of Sew Beautiful. I hope I win!

I've never made this pattern but I've always thought it was adorable! I think they would make gorgeous Easter dresses for three special girls I know. Their "Mimi" is my dearest friend and is going through chemo right now for a rare lung cancer. Even though she doesn't have the strength to sew right now, I know she would love to see her girls in these beautiful dresses.
