Show & Tell from a Reader

Dianne Becker, of Lufkin, Texas, is a faithful reader of Sew Beautiful.  She looks forward to checking her mail each time a new issue is released.

Having completed many sewing projects throughout the years, Dianne had quite the stash of leftover fabric.  When she saw the FREE pattern in the July/August issue, she knew what she was going to do; use material from her stash to make her own version!

Dianne's 3 year-old granddaughter, Addyson.

Dianne did not include any smocking, but the pattern is definitely the one from designer Kathy Dykstra featured in the latest issue of Sew Beautiful, "Tropical Treasures Sundress."    With this and a different print, it was as if she had a newly designed dress!

So cute!  And so is the dress!

Thanks for sharing with the Sew Beautiful staff, Dianne!  You did a fantastic job and we love to see the work of our readers.  We especially love it when the patterns that we give you take on a life of their own, thanks to your imaginations.

If you have made something from our magazine, whether it was to the letter of the instructions, or like Dianne, where you took an idea from Sew Beautiful and modified it to make it your own, please forward it to us!  We love hearing from you.  Send them to jessica.mullins@fwmedia.com.  We may just show off yours next!
