A sneak peek at November issue!

The preview copies of our
November/December issue just arrived at our offices!

We are so proud of it!  This is our annual Ribbon Issue.

The talented Nicholas Kniel graces our cover with a brillant ribbon cockade.  In this article,  he teaches step-by-step how to create this technique which first appeared in 18th century France, reemerged in the 1960s with First Lady Kennedy and is still used as a military and secular adornment in Europe.

A ribbon cockade can be used as a holiday ornament, piece of jewelry or embellishment on a hat!

Then we have Elaine Schmidt, author of The Complete Photo Guide to Ribbon Crafts.  She gives tips for sewing with ribbons, and we have detailed instructions on making your own holiday ribbon pillows and gift box ornaments.

Kathy Dykstra's "Wrap-It-Up Christmas Dress" mixes ribbons with a festive novelty print from our Blend line to tie up your sewing in a neat little holiday package.

(pssssst...this is also the FREE PATTERN for the month!)

Of course we also included our Holiday Gift Guide, listing our favorites we want Santa to bring!  We have a spotlight on the Japanese ribbon company, Mokuba, as well as holiday ribbon projects from Helen Gibb, Janet Gilbert, Kari Mecca, Jessica Woodroof, and many more!

We don't want to give it all away so that's all the peek you get for now!

Watch for this new issue on newstands on October 23rd!
